Every spring, The Arc of Oakland County holds a state-wide, non-competitive, performing arts talent show at the Birmingham Community House in downtown Birmingham. Open to all performing artists with an intellectual or developmental disability, each participant is able to showcase their talents and abilities before a live audience on a professional stage.
Sponsored by the Order of the Alhambra, Manressa Caravan 217 from Northville, the Birmingham Musicale, the Birmingham Community House and The Arc of Oakland County, the Annual Michigan Performing Arts Talent Show showcases the talents of performing artists with special needs.
Joel Alexander, WJR Radio 760 jetcopter pilot, has emceed the program for the past several years.
