Tom's Marathon Challenge

Donate to Tom’s Annual Marathon Challenge

Every year, The Arc of Oakland County presents a donation challenge to the agency’s members and friends. After running and raising money for The Arc for 10 years, around Mackinac Island and in the Chicago Marathon 7 times, Tom Kendziorski, The Arc’s $139k Man, has elected to run the Fourth Annual Brooksie Way Half Marathon on October 2, 2011. As in previous years, the membership challenge is requesting a $44 donation to commemorate the 44th Anniversary of The Arc of Oakland County.

On Sunday, October 2, 2011, Tom completed the Brooksie Way Half Marathon in 2 hours, 17 minutes, and 39 seconds. The rigorous, hilly race course started at Oakland University and ended at Meadowbrook Hall. A total of 2,644 runners finished the race that day. We are happy to announce that so far we have received $11,758.90 in donations in support of Tom’s successful running of the Brooksie Way Half Marathon.

The 2011 goal for the Annual Marathon Challenge is $13,000 and with your support we know we can reach our goal! We are still accepting donations.
